This tour explores a group of Islands commonly referred to as the Southern Gulf Islands. Each Island has a subtle and unique difference in flair and artistic culture. Two threads of similarity bond these wonderful Islands together; the first is a relaxed and refreshing approach to life where eggs, fruit and vegetables can still by purchased from roadside kiosks on the honour system. The second is the B.C. ferry service, the link to the outside world and an intriguingly pleasant journey when traveling from Island to Island. While kayaking, we will visit seal colonies and other marine life and navigate past yachts, fishing boats and sailboats. On our bicycles, the paved roads are pleasantly quiet, rolling through farm land and past summer homes amidst the lush coastal diversity of trees, berry bushes and flowers.
