will be in a mix of great local restaurants The
daily hiking distance ranges from 12 -20 kilometres return. On the final
day of hiking in the Canadian Rockies you can return to Calgary or
continue on to more wonders.
No matter which summer month you hike the Rockies you will encounter the unique nature inherent of this great national park, a world UNESCO site. Banff National Park attracts an average of 4.7 million visitors per year, while Jasper National Park attracts far fewer people. We choose the hikes carefully based on your desires and to give you the hiker, an opportunity to discover the true beauty of the Rockies.
We
recommend at least 4 days for this tour. There
is great variety on these stunning hikes; spectacular glacial lakes line
the valley between the mountain chains forming the Continental Divide. A
constant mix of glaciers, some as thick as 900 meters, cascading
waterfalls and abundant wildlife make this a hikers, dream destination.
Travel is by vehicle on the Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic roads in the world! Each day after a great breakfast, you'll hike on one of the many trails within the Canadian Rockies in Banff or Jasper National Park. You will have time to shower and relax before dinner. Dinner will be at around 7:00 – 7:30 p.m.
