Trip Overview
Prince
Edward Island Though it is Canada’s smallest province, this beautiful crescent shaped Island holds significant stature in Canada’s History. Among this history, is that it is recognized as the birthplace of Canada. Of course, the book “Anne of Green Gables” by author Lucy Maud Montgomery gave an omnipresence of trusting simplicity and romance, which remains at the core of Prince Edward Island’s charm. It remains one of few places where Irish Moss can be collected for use in many products sold in the stores today. A lesser-known fact is that PEI has been a great bastion for non-motorised transport as it wasn’t until 1919 that it became legal to drive a car on all of the roads on the Island. The non-motorised mindset has lingered through time though, making PEI a truly fabulous cycling destination. You will find a multitude of excellent and quiet roads, which crisscross the province and supply endless options for all cycling abilities. What's Included
