Trip Overview
Our day hikes pass into the quiet wilderness of boreal forest flourishing with bracken ferns, bunchberries, blueberries and cloudberries. Akin to no other, this trail on the Avalon Peninsula, is a well-restored series of coastal walking paths almost abandoned over the past century due to an age of roads and rails. From Tukamore and mountain maples, to alder and white birch a sense of peace resides amidst the canopy of trees and frequent seascapes of brilliant blue Atlantic waters along this craggy coastline.
Beyond the crags, on the open slopes, periodic whale sightings and a
myriad of sea birds will likely intensify your desire to breath the sparkling, fresh ocean
air. Around that next headland Newfoundland’s rich heritage of story and song await discovery,
as do the nights spent in elegant B&B’s and warm cabins nestled in
post card settings. To compliment each day, take pleasure in our fine
healthy gourmet cuisine and the unique flavours at local favourite pubs
and restaurants. Sleep well and awake to the sun’s first kiss upon North
America as it warms the “rock” we call - Newfoundland. What's Included (guided and self guided options available) From
