Cancellation

We do not recommend non-refundable air tickets, as Nomadic Routes cannot assume responsibility for any loss incurred on account of such tickets. If, as occasionally happens, we must cancel a trip because there are too few participants, we will attempt to notify you 45 days before your departure.

Eligibility We require that travellers be at least 18 years of age on all trips.

Preparing for your trip Our trips entail risks – and rewards – beyond those encountered at home. We always stress that our trips are a kind of partnership with travellers. Our primary objective is to take the hassle out of a great travel experience. In return, we count on people to ensure they are healthy and fit; to read our pre-trip materials about clothing, training, medical requirements and culture-specific etiquette; to appreciate that in some areas, local living standards, practices, services and accommodations may differ from those in your community (often in delightful ways); and to understand – indeed relish – the fact that a road less traveled means a more unpredictable and more rewarding adventure.

Itinerary The final itinerary is subject to revision; any changes made are done so in an attempt to provide the best possible trip given route conditions and available services. Due to the nature of our business and exchange rates, prices are subject to change. All prices quoted are Canadian dollars but we gladly accept payment in US dollars also. Due to cancellations and waiting lists, trip availability may fluctuate. If you have any questions or would like to confirm space on any of our tours before making your reservation, please contact us at: info@nomadicroutes.com or by telephone at (403) 807-3700.

Insurance Before travelling on a trip, Nomadic Routes strongly recommends that you review your personal insurance and your health insurance to ensure you have coverage appropriate to meet your needs, in case of any loss of property, or accident, injury or death. A travel insurance policy must cover the activities (backpacking, trekking, rafting, biking, skiing as applicable) and cover rescue and repatriation including helicopter and air ambulance. It is your responsibility to ensure the insurance coverage is adequate for you.

Health By sending a deposit toward your trip purchase and returning your Registration Form, you certify that you do not have any physical condition or disability that would create a hazard for you or other travellers and you have received all appropriate vaccinations. Please consult your doctor or Travel Clinic for information on immunizations.

Some of the services provided in connection with the trip, including lodging, transportation, food service, and local tours and activities, are obtained from independent suppliers over whom Nomadic Routes has no control.
